“Is it time yet?”

“No, baby girl, but it will be soon.”

“What’s it like out there, Mommy?”

“Lots of new and interesting things for you to discover.”

“What do you mean?”

“Well, there will be beautiful fall days and lots of bright-colored leaves.”

“What else?”

“You have lots of people waiting to greet you with love.”

“Really? Who?”

“Well, besides Daddy and me, Grandpas, Grandma, aunts and uncles and cousins.”

“Wow, so many.”

“It will take time. You won’t get to see all of them right away, however, one by one you will be held, cuddled, and loved by lots of family and friends.”

“What are you doing right now, Mommy?”

“Taking care of you and me. Making sure I’m eating healthy, folding your clothes and gathering stacks of diapers and all the things our family will need—and being sure to get plenty of rest as we get closer to our big day.”

“And what’s Daddy doing?”

“He’s been hard at work around the house. Now he’s putting the finishing touches on your room, making sure everything is safe, comfy, and ready for you to sleep, eat, and play.”

“I can’t wait, Mommy.”

“All of us are so excited and feel so blessed. You, dear daughter, will be our tiny, bright and beautiful beginning of the next chapter and we don’t want to miss a moment. See you soon, sweetheart.”
