At this time in the history of our country when all things sensible and reasonable seem to have been turned on end, may we each take a few moments to ponder our blessings with hearts of gratitude and thanksgiving.

  • The Son, and the sun . . .
  • The moon, heavens and skies filled with stars . . .
  • The person next to us at the dinner table, and if we are alone, the person whose presence we recall with love and joy . . .
  • The moments of sorrow that make those of joy so much more meaningful . . .
  • The children among us; the elderly who remind us to always be young at heart . . .
  • The pain and suffering that serve to bring about hope and healing . . .
  • This season of sharing and celebrations, regardless of our religion or ethnic heritage . . .

These are of the blessings I count among the many our Creator God has gifted to me and my family. In wonder, they are beyond number. Some small, some big. All given in Love, waiting for me to open and appreciate.

What or whom do you count among your blessings?

How can you carry an attitude of gratitude each day, throughout the year?
